Theseus/Ariadne

2025–present

A hermeneutic digital curation framework grounded in psychoanalysis and Heideggerian phenomenology. The system implements a self-documenting, palimpsest-like architecture for digital preservation and meaning-making — treating every interaction as a trace that deserves to be curated, not just stored.

Technical implementation includes an AI-mediated archival pipeline, session-based memory architecture, automated curation workflows, and a tripartite logging system (chronicle, ledger, pillow book) that captures both the factual record and the affective texture of what is being preserved.

The framework addresses a central question: how do we document ephemeral digital artifacts in a way that preserves not just their data, but their meaning?

The Last Sunsets

2023–present

An ongoing daily practice of photographing and filming the sunset. What began as a daily commitment has evolved into a sustained meditation on endings, attention, impermanence, and the act of witnessing. Thousands of images accumulated over three years, comprising an archive of a single recurring moment seen through changing light, weather, and state of mind.

The project extends research begun during the MA thesis on documenting ephemeral and performance art — applying the same questions about documentation, authenticity, and the trace to a long-form practice of sustained attention.

Performative Documents and the Labouring Body

Solo research-creation exhibition — Fine Arts Building Gallery, University of Alberta — Aug–Sep 2017

Curated and produced a gallery exhibition of lens- and sound-based work created through research-creation methodology in support of the MA thesis. Combined photographic, video, and audio installations exploring the documentation of performance and ephemeral art, accompanied by a performative keynote lecture.

New Maternalisms Redux Conference & Exhibition

Exhibition Coordinator & Photographer — FAB Gallery, University of Alberta — May–Jun 2016

Coordinated exhibition installation and a three-day international colloquium (Mapping the Maternal: Art, Ethics, and the Anthropocene) featuring keynote by Griselda Pollock. Produced photographic documentation of works and events, subsequently published in the exhibition catalogue.

Curated multiple group exhibitions showcasing graduate student work from across Canada; organized two artist residencies and coordinated public workshops in sculpture and textiles.
